Garage Coffee is delighted to bring you this interesting arrival from Sumatra. Cascara is dried coffee cherry (the fruit coffee beans are grown in) and can be brewed much like a loose leaf tea.
This cascara comes from Sumatra, and has a smoky & citrusy flavours. Highly caffeinated, cascara is great for an afternoon pick-you-up and can even be brewed cold and served over ice, perfect for the summer months.
Brewing instructions: Brew the cascara like you would a loose leaf tea. Use 12g of cascara with 500ml of just off boilng water, and brew for 4 minutes. Strain the cascara as you serve. No teapot? Try brewing in a cafetiere, and plunge after 4 minutes.
