Customer Showcase: BR6 Restaurant, Orpington

Last year, Garage Coffee started working with the fantastic BR6 Restaurant as they opened their brand new Bakehouse.

BR6 opened in February 2015 and is the centerpiece of London South East Colleges’ Hospitality, Food and Enterprise Career College. Part of a national network, Career Colleges work closely with employer partners to provide 14-19 year olds with the skills they need to work in specific industries.

Stephanie Robertson, Front of House Manager, said "Last year we launched phase two of the BR6 project, and opened up our new Bakehouse. Serving light lunches, coffees, cocktails and cream teas, the Bakehouse also offers a range of Kent produce, artisan breads and pastries for customers to take home."

"Executive Head Chef Jason Main heads up BR6, leading the team of Career College students. Putting the skills and theory they learn in the classroom into practice, the students also learn how a commercial restaurant is run. Experiencing this professional environment prepares them for work in the hospitality industry and will open up exciting career opportunities."

"BR6 Restaurant and Bakehouse are going from strength to strength, developing an excellent reputation for offering high quality food in a wonderful setting with great service. The Restaurant has been No1 on Trip Advisor for the past year, beating off competition from all other eateries in the local area."

"Obviously we love the coffee, and the support we get from the team at Garage Coffee. The customers keep coming back for it!"
