Assistant Manager

Hours: Full Time (32 hours per week, including weekends)

Salary: Dependant on experience

Location: Garage Coffee @ Fruitworks, Canterbury

Start Date: September 2018

Garage Coffee is looking for a coffee aficionado to help with the day-to-day running of our espresso bar and training hub in Canterbury. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, enthusiastic and with the ability to work in a high-pressured environment.

Requirements & Key Responsibilities

  • At least 2 years’ experience within hospitality or retail
  • Be a skilled barista, ideally with a knowledge of working with different coffees
  • A passion for coffee (particularly speciality)
  • Be comfortable with supervising staff and running a coffee shop on your own, including opening up and closing
  • Be able to deliver great customer service & inspire those around you
  • A creative personality that can help develop the Garage Coffee brand. An interest in social media and marketing is an advantage.
  • A desire to share the Garage Coffee vision with customers
  • A willingness to represent Garage Coffee at events and markets as and when required
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • To adhere to any health and safety requirements and maintain a clean and tidy coffee shop at all time

Barista

Hours: Part Time (6-12 hours per week, including weekends)

Salary: Dependant on experience

Garage Coffee is looking for a coffee lover to help make great coffee and deliver wonderful customer service at our espresso bar and training hub in Canterbury. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, enthusiastic and with the ability to work in a high-pressured environment.

  • At least 1 years’ experience within hospitality or retail
  • Ideally be a skilled barista, although full training will be provided
  • A passion for coffee (particularly speciality)

  • A willingness to represent Garage Coffee at events and markets as and when required
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
