When our friend Laura reached out to us offering us the chance to bring the Pitaya back for a second year, we almost (figuratively) bit her arm off. We quickly got our hands on some pre-shipment samples and immediately hit the cupping table. I can safely say that it exceeds even the previous lot in its vibrancy and complexity.
Laura and William lead Minga, a small team based in Huila, Colombia, dedicated to sourcing exceptional coffee directly from local producers.
Their close relationships with farmers focus on fairness, sustainability, and community support. Huila, part of Colombia’s unique biosphere, offers ideal growing conditions with high altitude, rich soil, and balanced sunlight. The Pitaya coffee showcases the Pink Bourbon varietal, known for its complex flavors and resistance to rust.
